Now that we've covered the Halloween decorations, it's on to the costumes!
We try to let the kids pick out whatever they want. I might lovingly steer them away from certain things (being a bride) but for the most part, let them go for it. So this year, Leah vacillated between Barbie Fairy Secret and the Little Mermaid, but landed on the Little Mermaid. I think this was due to size availability, but she added a crown and a wand to it and voila! Corin wanted to be Victorious! It's a show on Disney about this girl that's a rock star. Ironically enough, Corin isn't allowed to watch the show, but is obsessed with the characters! So we found a sparkly dress {same dress as last year, different color}, rock star boots {same boots as last year, different color} and a homemade glittery microphone! {Last year she was Taylor Swift, so it's really just a redone outfit, but she was excited!} Maddox picked between Superman and a Ninja. At first he seemed pretty sure about the Superman costume but ended up picking the ninja. This is incredibly cute because Kyle used to pretend he was a ninja and protect the neighborhood when he was little!
So we began with Halloween festivities on Friday. Maddox and Leah had a costume parade at their school.
On Friday night, we all went to Trunk or Treat at St. Francis. It was great!!! The parking lot gets shut down and everyone passes out candy from their trunk. Leah got to run around with some of her school friends and we ended up parking next to one of Corin's cheer buddies. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of it {mother of the year!}.
Monday night we trick or treated with one of neighbors/cheer buddies.

Corin and her buddy, Mackenzie.
The ninja outfit didn't make it past the costume parade...I don't think Maddox was a fan of the one piece. So we went with his sheriff shirt instead!
Our first stop!
Maddox LOVED keeping up with the big kids!!
Corin the Rock Star!!
This is a video of Maddox trying to keep up with everyone. I don't even think he cared about the candy! So, so cute!!!
Well we made it through Halloween, now it's on to Thanksgiving and my FAVORITE...CHRISTMAS!!!
We'll be back after this weekend with news on Leah's 5th birthday!!! Can't believe my little baby girl is 4 days away from being 5!!!
Until then...
