Christmas was packed!! We spent the holiday in Colorado, but first we started off with gifts and dessert with the Ratcliffs.
Then we had gifts and Chinese at my mom's {a bit untraditional, but pretty great!} Somehow I didn't end up with any pictures of it :(
Each of the kids had a party at school before the break started...luckily Maddox's was on Thursday, because it was kind of crazy shuffling between each of the girls' parties!
Early Saturday morning we headed north to Colorado to spend Christmas with Mimsy and GP! The kids are pretty great in the car and we made it to the Springs mid afternoon :) GP made homemade pizza and we watched a movie to unwind a bit!
Maddox was at all times cuddling with either Howie or Chavo on the couch!
Sunday morning we decorated the tree before Kyle and Steve headed out to the Broncos game and the rest of us headed to the North Pole!
Now it was off to the North Pole on Pikes Peak. It was a little chilly but we had a great time!
This is what happens when Daddy has been gone too long and we are tired :(
Corin was a great helper getting the boys in and out of the rides!
Maddox is in love with Howie and Chavo...the boy needs a dog!
Corin read everyone the Elf on the Shelf story about our new friend, Logan.
Christmas Eve was truly magical! This was our fancy dinner for the week. We were eating at the Broadmoor and as if the amazing trees strung with Christmas lights wasn't enough, it began to snow as we pulled up! It was like a scene out of a movie! Everyone wore their fancy new outfits from Mims and GP and managed to behave themselves :)
Logan!
Christmas Eve we watched a few movies in our Christmas PJs and snuggled up.
Then Christmas morning we opened presents!!!
I snowed quite a bit so we spent the afternoon playing in the snow and taking the dogs for a walk and then taking the dogs for a walk. Kasen, of course, got tired at the bottom of the hill, so Kyle carried him ALL the way to the top. I wouldn't say the boy loves the cold :/
The day after Christmas we went to Canon City and rode Santa's Express!! It was AWESOME!!! We had hot chocolate and sugar cookies and sang Christmas carols while riding the train through the Royal Gorge. It was our last night in Colorado Springs and was a perfect ending!
